Cafe de la Esperanza is a shade grown coffee grown in the mountainous Ixil region of Guatemala.  After a 36 year civil war that ended in 1996, this is the Coffee of Hope for the farmers in that region who are working to revive this area.  Each bean represents a small seed of hope for everyone in that region.  Hope for  a better future.
